About Us

The Black Policy Student Association (BPSA) focuses on advancing the interests of Black students and effectuating change in the policy community. Through community engagement, professional development, and advocacy opportunities, BPSA helps educate the Sanford community about the implications of policy involving Black communities while providing spaces for students to engage in meaningful community building. Outside of Sanford, BPSA aims to develop meaningful connections between students and the historically Black Durham community. BPSA hopes to further student engagement within Durham through advocacy, policy, and organizing. Further, BPSA prioritizes creating and holding the Duke University Sanford School of Public Policy Black Policy Conference annually.
