Acevedo is the author of The Poet X, winner of the National Book Award for Young People’s Literature, and the forthcoming novel Anger Is Only a Shadow. Through powerful storytelling grounded in culture, identity, and lived experience, her work demonstrates the courage and freedom found in embracing every part of who we are.

In celebration of this year’s theme, “Sin Disculpas, Pura Cultura,” Acevedo will join us for a conversation about authenticity, creativity, and the power of showing up fully and unapologetically.
