This week, as the campus reflects on the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we are reminded of his profound words: "Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that."
Let us reflect on this call to action, and on the message from the CML Director and Chaplain, Dr. Joshua Salaam:

As a community, let's continue to carry forward Dr. King's legacy of justice and compassion by being that light in our daily lives and interactions.

Thank you to everyone who made our Welcome Pizza Night a vibrant success! A special thanks to Head Chef Mark Mishalanie and Duke Dining for their partnership in providing the first halal pepperoni pizza on East Campus. It was beautiful to see our first-year students connecting with upperclassmen and our entire community gathering over good food and even better company. This milestone is a testament to our collective voice and belonging
