VALORANT Team Tryouts - Friday, September 8th & Saturday, September 9th

We would love to have you come to our VALORANT tryouts this weekend (Friday at 7pm and Saturday at 7pm). Everyone is welcome and please sign up here: https://forms.gle/tVEtb33jo4cAaTz59

We are happy to announce that the VALORANT tryouts will be hosted in person from a location on west campus stocked with computers to allow for people to come and play in person (Perkins 072). If you would like to come in person, you must email morgan.mccloud@duke.edu with your name, what days you are playing, and your netid. In person participation is not necessary, but if you'd like to come, feel free:)). The computers have everything you need to play, but I would recommend bringing peripherals (headphones, mice, keyboard, mousepad). (Any questions related to valorant? You can DM Morgan on discord @gamezgirl or email her @morgan.mccloud@duke.edu)

League of Legends Team Tryouts - Saturday, September 9th & Sunday, September 10th

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Tournament - Sunday, September 10th

It’s time for the return of our biweekly Smash tournament: Dair Devils!!!

WHO: Open to players of all skills levels! Whether it’s your first time picking up a controller or your thousandth, we want to see everyone there! Open to both Duke students and non-Duke students.
WHAT: $5 Double elimination Super Smash Bros. Ultimate bracket. We also host a free “redemption” bracket for anyone who gets out of bracket early to keep playing!
WHERE: Social Sciences Building Classroom 113
WHEN: Sunday, September 10th. Doors will open at 2 PM and bracket will start at 3 PM.

Registration and bracket is run through a website called start.gg (see link below). You can either register in advance using a start.gg account which will save all of your stats (highly recommended) or if you do not have an account you can register the day of the tourney at the TO desk.

In order to ensure the best tournament experience, we ask that anyone who can please bring a set up (Switch + dock + power + HDMI + gamecube adapter, if you own one) and/or a monitor (always in need of more monitors so these are especially appreciated). Be sure to label anything that belongs to yourself to avoid confusion at the end of the tournament. We also recommend you bring your own controller but if you cannot we will have some spares.

And one last thing: We are looking for volunteers to help out at the smash tournaments! No experience required. You’ll be shown everything you need to know. If you are interested, please fill out this form here: https://forms.gle/Zn9DnbUmo8Hwa8Ve8

Register for the tournament here: https://start.gg/dairdevils

If you have any questions, you can send them to me via email (isabela.aguilar@duke.edu) or discord (@fwubs)!
