About Us
Deal With The Devil at Duke University seeks to establish an inclusive community in which students can unite over a shared passion for card games, fostering camaraderie and intellectual growth in a welcoming environment. Our mission is to serve as a dynamic platform where members can enhance their strategic thinking and interpersonal skills through the engagement and enjoyment of a wide variety of card games, including rummy, hearts, and crazy eights. We are committed to building a diverse community that encourages cultural exchange, collaboration, and the development of critical thinking abilities. We also plan to implement lessons and talks concerning game theory, so that members can learn about and apply new skills. By hosting regular meetups, workshops, and seminars, we aim to facilitate knowledge sharing and skill development, fostering an appreciation for global card game traditions and promoting intellectual enrichment. Our goal is also to engage the broader Duke community through tournaments, competitions, and joint events with other clubs and organizations, fostering a spirit of respect and mutual growth.
