About Us
The mission of the Thomistic Institute at Duke University is to promote academic discussion of the Catholic Church’s intellectual tradition, placing particular emphasis on the thought of the 13th-century philosopher and theologian, Thomas Aquinas. This is done by inviting scholars from other academic institutions to Duke’s campus for lectures on philosophical and theological topics, as well as by hosting theological study groups.
