About Us

The Duke Gender Minority Machinist Coalition strives to uplift women and gender minority students in reaching their fabrication goals. It is founded on the belief that anyone can be a maker. Duke GMMC reinforces engineering adeptness for all students through hands-on, individualized learning of common fabrication principles including: manual and CNC (computer numerical control) machining, hand tools, and DFM (design-for-manufacturing).
