Details
Service Opportunities in Leadership (SOL) is a Fellowship opportunity open to 1st, 2nd, or 3rd students of any major who seek to deepen their capacity to build community, address complex social issues, and implement systemic change. SOL Fellows take a spring semester gateway course (PubPol 263: Leading In and With Community), receive funding for an intensive 8-week summer experience with a community partner, and complete a capstone seminar (PubPol 415: Communities of Practice). Applications open on Wednesday, September 3rd.
This year's SOL information session will be held on Wednesday, September 10th at 5:30 PM in Sanford 223. Led by SOL Program Coordinator Dr. Lucy Ballard and featuring a panel of SOL student alumni who will speak about their experiences in the program, this info session is the best way to learn more about SOL. We hope to see you there!
REGISTRATION WELCOMED BUT NOT REQUIRED! All are welcome.
Please reach out to Dr. Ballard (lucy.ballard@duke.edu) with any questions or to schedule office hours to discuss SOL.
