The Duke IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineer) Student Chapter has the goal of bridging the gap between students, faculty and industry on campus. We plan to host industry focused panels, networking events with alumni and trips to conferences. Although our events are themed around ECE and CS, they are open to all students and participation will count towards conference eligibility.
The Duke IEEE Student Chapter is excited to announce our first event of the year, happening this Friday, September 13th at 4:30 PM (Wilkinson 130)! We are thrilled to be partnering with Keysight Technologies for a high-tech scavenger hunt using their cutting-edge FieldFox devices.
Teams will search for hidden transmitters across campus by analyzing RF frequencies. Prizes, including wireless chargers and battery packs, will be awarded to the top team, and food will be provided for everyone! [RSVP:2260453] to attend.
Looking ahead, mark your calendars for two more exciting events:
October 26-27th: We're partnering with the National Science Foundation's ACCESS Program for a workshop and hackathon focused on high-performance computing.
AI Ethics Panel: Join our sister chapter at NC State for monthly virtual panels on AI ethics. More info here.
