In observance of NAISA's 2024-25 theme, "Art, Land, and Legacy", we would like to invite Pamela Peters for a workshop/speaking event on Native resilience through the Arts. Pamela Peters is a prominent Dine photographer and multimedia documentarian who explores the diverse lives of contemporary American Indians through her work. This event is intended to celebrate Duke's Native community while also bringing visibility within the broader Duke community. We would expect an approximate attendance of 20 to 30, and intend to engage them by exploring various forms of Indigenous art and their broader socio-cultural implication, followed by a workshop on understanding art as a tool of resilience.
