Duke Shave & Buzz —11th Annual

Come watch over 100 Duke students buzz their heads in solidarity with Teen & Young Adults battling cancer at the Duke Hospital at the 11th annual Shave & Buzz event! This fun event highlights resilience, philanthropic spirit, and makes a real difference on Duke’s campus.

Shave & Buzz is Duke’s largest student-run philanthropic initiative, raising over $1.2 million over the past 10 years! The event is in honor of Bobby Menges, a Duke undergraduate who passed away in 2017. All proceeds go to the I’m Not Done Yet Foundation and Duke Hospital's Teen & Young Adult Oncology Program. These funds pioneer the treatment of cancer for this age group through oncofertility, mental and physical health resources, peer to peer networks, and extensive research on these programs which have since been spread to other hospitals.

Join us on Abele Quad Saturday, March 28th, from 12-3pm! The goal this year is to raise $250,000, so whether you buzz, donate, or simply show up in support, every contribution makes a difference.
