Mission
The Academic Advising Center (AAC) oversees academic advising for Duke students until they declare their major during sophomore year. Through the AAC, students have a network of advising resources and services available to help them explore the many curricular and co-curricular opportunities at Duke. You can send a quick, general question to advising@duke.edu and someone will respond; you can schedule a virtual appointment with one of the AAC Advising Directors if you have questions that require more time than a quick drop in meeting; and you can meet with a Director of Academic Engagement (DAE) who can help you make the most of your time at Duke.

The Academic Guides program integrates academic coaching and advising into the fabric of the Duke campus residential experience. Part of a new residential staffing vision, Academic Guides are available to support students where they live and learn.
We will also meet with you individually to:

--Provide guidance on the many academic decisions you face
--Identify and promote your individual goals and academic potential
--Show you how to cultivate the skills, confidence, and healthy habits that will enable you to make the most of your learning experience
--Amplify and connect you to helpful resources

Ultimately, if you live on West Campus and are unsure where to go, visit your Academic Guide and we will help you figure it out.

Adopt a Grandparent is a student community service organization of students who volunteer with the elderly, many of whom reside at nursing homes and rehabilitation centers close to Duke University. The mission of AAG is to provide disabled and institutionalized senior citizens with social and emotional support, to foster the formation of positive social relationships between senior citizens and Duke students, and to encourage understanding and appreciation of the senior citizens in our community, especially those who lack social support and financial resources.

All of the Above presents a show annually including a series of anonymous monologues written, performed, and directed by Duke women about life at Duke.
All of the Above hopes to not only raise awareness of gender inequity on campus, but also to celebrate the many facets of the Duke woman in a rare theatrical setting. The Production Team of All of the Above must ensure the annual performance continues and upholds the values of the 2003 Duke Women's Initiative, giving a voice to all women on campus.

Mission
The American Lung Cancer Screening Initiative (ALCSI) is a non-profit organization that is composed of a team of over 70 doctors and students working to increase awareness of lung cancer and lung cancer screening in communities across the country. Our mission is to improve the rate of lung cancer screenings for high-risk patients and reduce the rate of lung cancer through outreach efforts. By working with cities, local and national governments, and other organizations, ALCSI raises awareness for lung cancer and lung cancer screening. High-risk individuals can significantly benefit from lung cancer screening, and ALCSI focuses on promoting screening in this population to save lives.
