DSC is a Duke student organization whose mission is to inspire students from Durham Public Schools and encourage them in learning through interactive science sessions, field trips, and academic/professional mentorship. We work with Hillside High School, Lowe's Grove Middle School, Rogers Herr Middle School, and Durham School of Tech, with the goal of expanding to more schools in the future.
DHSC is divided into three teams: Content Creation, Advertising, and Finance.
Designs and plans experiments for schools. This semester, they will also be involved with procuring recipes for chemical demonstrations in cooking.
Designs and creates media for advertising the DHSC, including videos, images, and posters. Sends out mass emails to members and maintains social media by advertising upcoming events and fundraisers.
Manages funds for DHSC and work with other campus organizations to secure funding. Coordinate with other clubs for sharing of resources
