UNCUT is a student-athlete storytelling platform. Student-led and athlete-driven, UNCUT Duke inspires student-athletes to be their true selves. With a commitment to authenticity, UNCUT Duke provides a platform for student-athletes to speak in a way that has not yet been seen at the collegiate level. The passions of student-athletes persist off the playing field, and range from personal interests to campus involvements, from social causes to family pressures. We give them a "voice" - where humanity (their stories, passions, health) take precedence over their athletic feats and statistics. The peer-to-peer, authentic nature enables more intimate discussions. We believe that there is a need for a platform of the like on Duke's campus. Duke student-athletes are unique in that they compete at an elite level in their sport, but must also meet the demands of a highly competitive academic environment. Many student-athletes excel in both and/or have other passions outside of the classroom and off the court/field/pool/etc. that we would like to highlight.
