This year’s Women’s History Month theme, Golden: Cultivating Joy, invites us to center joy as an essential part of gender equity work. Inspired by the idea of “gold” as something precious, enduring, and deeply rooted, we are focusing on practices and HERstories that uplift joy as a source of power and connection. Join the Women’s Center and our campus and community partners as we kickoff our WHM celebration through vibrant engagement, storytelling, and resource sharing that help our community tap into joy as both an individual and collective practice. Screen-printers will be on site for students interested in getting a t-shirt or canvas tote printed with our WHM 2026 design, created by Kelsey Graywill of hyperlocaldurham. Part of RJC Week 2026, all interested in reproductive justice are welcome.
