About Us

The mission of Duke Birding Club is to connect students with nature, fostering an appreciation for avian life around campus and Durham. The DBC will focus on local conservation initiatives and changing behavior to promote a bird-friendly campus and community. The DBC will offer birding excursions, professional guest lectures, research and citizen science opportunities. We will provide a welcoming community that is beginner-friendly and open to all. We believe that birding is for everyone, regardless of background, and will grow an inclusive community.
