About Us
1. Cards for Humanity aims to host and teach diverse card games from around the world to connect and engage Duke’s diverse student body with one another and with members of the Durham community, allowing students to participate in games they already played or learn new ones while getting to know each other and become better acquainted with Durham. 2. Cards for Humanity aims to organize interactive events at local community centers ranging from nursing homes and senior centers to hospitals/clinics and high schools, using card games as a medium to engage and connect with members, including those with dementia and Alzheimer’s as well as students attending local high schools. Through this, we hope to support as many individuals as possible in and around Duke and Durham, regardless of age, education, condition, or language barrier. 3. Cards for Humanity aims to host card game events and tournaments to support charitable causes, raise awareness for social issues, and contribute to nonprofits both on and off campus. For instance, we plan on hosting monthly tournaments to support various nonprofits in and around Durham.
