Our goal is to provide undergraduate and graduate students with more hands-on opportunities to interact with various technologies and apply their knowledge in building a fleet of robots to compete in one of the most exciting robotics competitions in the world, RoboMaster. With this unique experience, we hope to further students' understanding of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer vision, computer engineering, and embedded control systems to become the true robomaster!

This group is dedicated to fostering meaningful connections across academic disciplines to enhance the personal and professional growth of graduate and professional students at Duke. We believe that creativity and innovation flourish when diverse perspectives intersect, yet graduate students across fields remain isolated from one another and are often unaware of opportunities to collaborate outside their home department.
Through peer mentorship, workshops and networking opportunities, we aim to create spaces where students can engage beyond their primary discipline, sparking new ideas and collaborative possibilities. The mission of Duke (Graduate) Aviators is to (1) share a passion for flight with the greater Duke community through unique aviation experiences, (2) construct and oversee a flight simulator for educational purposes open to the greater Duke community, (3) introduce students to the Durham Aviation community through guest speakers and trips to local airshows, and (4) educate students on the process of becoming a licensed private pilot.

Duke Conservation Society is a student group within the Nicholas School of the Environment. We explore contemporary conservation issues and provide resources for students and future conservationists to create solutions to our natural world's most pressing problems. Our Mission is three pronged:

1. Enhance students' understanding of the various scientific, social, political, economic and managerial tools available to address conservation issues.
2. Facilitate collaboration among master's and PhD students at Duke on conservation related projects and analyses.
3. Provide opportunities for professional development through networking events with conservation professionals and seminars featuring Duke students, faculty, and alumni along with guest speakers.

The North Carolina Club's mission is to 1) connect students interested in the North Carolina legal market with fellow students, employers, and alumni working in the state, 2) provide a social atmosphere to build friendships between Duke Law students planning on practicing in North Carolina, and 3) increase the school's overall awareness of the North Carolina market.

The North Carolina Club accomplishes this mission by organizing programming and networking events with North Carolina attorneys, providing information on the North Carolina legal market, and being available to answer students' questions or concerns regarding North Carolina.

Duke's Neurodiversity Advocates (DNA) is dedicated to introducing new healthcare professionals to a broader scope of education regarding disabilities, and facilitating outreach opportunities within our community. Our goal is to highlight and overcome the lack of recognition disability receives as a determinant of health within the finite education of our healthcare system. This currently limited education and exposure to disabilities is a constraint on both understanding the true impact and providing adequate care. Providing holistic care to our patients requires the confident ability of the healthcare professional to eliminate biases, provide trust within our interactions and use respectful language. We hope that interprofessional collaboration will allow us to utilize our unique skill sets to grow as professionals, minimize the distance between the "disabled" and "abled" and build an inclusive environment that will benefit our future patients. While establishing these goals, we hope to be Duke's first Interprofessional Education (IPE) organization to ignite new ways of thinking, connections and opportunities. We aim to provide group members with leadership development opportunities, volunteer experiences within the local community, and extensive education on how to advocate for inclusivity within the healthcare field.

Our purpose is to emphasize the importance of freestyle as a form of non-verbal communication and cultural expression, and promote diversity, accessibility, and inclusivity by eliminating barriers to joining the club and encouraging creative expression without the constraints on styles or music.
We aim to foster a vibrant community of dancers and aspiring dancers who embrace the art of freestyle. Our supportive environment will allow individuals from diverse backgrounds to express themselves through various street dance styles, including breakdancing, locking, popping, waacking, and more, while giving them the freedom to create and name their own styles. By reviving and promoting the essence of freestyle dance—an authentic expression of creativity and individuality at the heart of street dance culture—we actively welcome underrepresented communities, such as the LGBTQ+ community. We strive to create a space where individuals can showcase their unique styles, connect with others, and celebrate their identities through dance. Through this platform, we aspire to honor individual uniqueness and cultural heritage while nurturing a sense of belonging within the Duke community.

Our mission is to create a network of primarily Masters of Environmental Management (MEM) students dedicated to understanding and addressing sustainability issues in the fashion industry through a science, policy and business perspective. We believe that the fashion industry presents an opportunity for interdisciplinary engagement at the Nicholas School. The sector’s biggest challenges currently are chemical pollution, material intensity, waste management, production and supply chain complexities, lack of regulation and policy approaches and finally its high demand for water and energy. These challenges exist at the unique intersection of the many MEM concentrations, such as environmental health and toxicology, environment and business, environment and energy, and economics and policy. This club will explore the science behind these issues and will seek to evaluate and learn the science-based policy and business solutions. By fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, GTC aims to create a hub for students interested in fashion sustainability across science, policy, and business. We strive to drive meaningful change within the Duke community and beyond.

Overall, our mission is to be a resource for pre-med and medical trainees looking for answers to the practical healthcare economics questions, and a platform for sharing healthcare economics publications and research opportunities.

Our specific goals are two-fold:
1. To share basic knowledge about healthcare costs and build practical skills useful for patient care. This will involve: opportunities to gain a basic understanding of healthcare insurance, healthcare revenue cycle, charity care; going through the exercise of checking drug prices, finding costs of procedures.
2. To explore research on the applications of behavioral economics in healthcare. This will involve: discussing recent clinical trials of behavioral economics-driven interventions for improving medication adherence, physical activity, weight loss; exploring classic studies on systematic cognitive biases, discussing their impact on diagnostic thinking and clinical decisions.
