BBNJ Discussion with Oceans@Duke and Dr. Carmine

Oceans@Duke will be hosting a guest talk with Dr. Gabby Carmine (fellow at Georgetown Earth Commons and advisor to the recent negotiations on the BBNJ treay) to share her insights on the future of governance of the high seas. The high seas are parts of the ocean which not subject to national jurisdictions. This year, the United Nations approved of the BBNJ treaty, an international law document that sets rules and guidelines for conservation in the high seas.
