ABOUT TAL RAMON

Tal Ramon is a musician and speaker. Col. Ilan Ramon, Tal’s father, was selected to be the first Israeli astronaut. In 2003, he and his six fellow crew members were tragically killed in the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster.

Asaf Ramon, Tal’s brother, followed in his father’s footsteps and became an F16 pilot, but tragically, in 2009, he was killed during an aerial combat training exercise.

Tal’s mother, Rona Ramon, became a symbol of resilience and strength. After
the tragedies she created a nonprofit organization called the Ramon Foundation, which provides youth with opportunities to fulfill their potential through educational and skill building programs.

Tal chose his own path, and accompanied by his father's piano, he found a way to cope and find meaning.
