About Us

Policy for the People is an organization built around promoting equity, activism, and systems-level change within Duke and local communities. Our mission is to facilitate a deeper understanding of the policy process by translating curriculum into action. We do this through partnership with change-makers and harnessing the power of Sanford students who are interested in creating systems-level change. We host educational events and skills-based workshops, support local policy-change campaigns, and promote community-building programming to support action-oriented change.
