The Dong Zhi Festival, also known as the Winter Solstice Festival, is a traditional Chinese celebration marking the shortest day and longest night of the year. It is a time for family reunions, where people gather to enjoy warm foods like tangyuan (glutinous rice balls) symbolizing unity and prosperity for the coming year.
