About Us

The Sanford Urban Policy Club (SUP) is a graduate student organization at the Sanford School of Public Policy that provides a forum for students to discuss and engage with urban issues within our local community of Durham and across the country. We provide opportunities for formal and informal engagement with students, faculty, and guest experts to understand best practices and current challenges for local policy decisions. The Sanford Urban Policy Club creates space for dialogue around how policy areas intersect in urban spheres. We strive to better understand a range of issues, from sustainable urban growth to equitable housing policy to transportation innovation.
