Introduction to Machine Sewing

Lets explore the wonderful world of sewing! In this class students will first learn the overall functionalities of the sewing machine such as threading the machine, getting familiar with the machine parts, various sewing tools and materials. Once students are comfortable with those steps, students will then learn how to sew basic stitches and sewing techniques. Our goal is to raise your confidence and overall have individuals feel more comfortable with using a sewing machine.
Students will scour the Scrap Exchange for an interestingly shaped object and then transform that object into a puppet.
