Welcoming the Blessed Month of Ramadan
As salaamu alakium,
The blessed month of Ramadan is upon us, bringing with it mercy, forgiveness, and divine transformation.
For some in our community, the first day of fasting will be Wednesday. The Center for Muslim Life will observe the first day of fasting on Thursday, February 19th. To read the full decision and explanation, please visit the CML website.
The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:
"Whoever fasts Ramadan out of faith and in hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven." – Sahih al-Bukhari & Muslim
This teaching encourages us to enter the month with sincere faith and intention, embracing it as a profound chance for spiritual renewal and forgiveness.
Our first night of Taraweeh will be held Wednesday evening, February 18th. Be sure to check the CML This Week for our full Ramadan Program Schedule.
