A Taste of Heritage
As Salaam Alaikum CML Family!
Last Wednesday's Fajr Breakfast Club was a beautiful embodiment of what our community is all about. We began the day rooted in prayer, gathering for the Fajr prayer as the sun rose. The morning was then made exceptionally special as Sister Jen generously fixed a traditional Syrian breakfast for everyone. We savored the beautiful, home-cooked meal (frech toast!), sharing in the rich flavors and cherished family recipes from her mother's kitchen.
It was a powerful reminder that the Fajr Breakfast Club is about more than just a meal; it's about soul—prayer and soul food. It's about sharing our stories, building our community, connecting with one another, and praying together. We are so grateful to Sister Jen for her incredible effort and for sharing a taste of her heritage with us. We encourage everyone to come out and share in these precious moments of faith, community, and belonging. A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful cook!
We're excited to announce Adulting With ADHD, a new weekly drop-in space in CAPS for students who want to learn more about ADHD, discover helpful resources, and connect with others navigating similar experiences.
This group is open to all enrolled students, and you don't need an ADHD diagnosis to join—just curiosity and a desire to better understand ADHD. Each 30-minute session is a supportive space where we'll talk about what ADHD actually is, and share campus and local resources.
