About Us

Duke Combat Robotics is a student-run organization that provides students of all technical backgrounds and experience levels the opportunity to explore and immerse themselves in the world of combat robotics. The club emphasizes a relaxed, supportive learning environment alongside exciting opportunities for intercollegiate competition. In small, collaborative teams, students design and build antweight (1lb) battlebots while engaging in a holistic engineering process—from brainstorming and mechanical design to electronics and fabrication. As experience grows, members can take on more advanced challenges, including the design of beetleweight (3lb) robots and participation in high-level competitions. The organization fosters hands-on learning, technical growth, and creative expression through every stage of the build while cultivating an inclusive and passionate robotics community.
