CARE Connections aims to serve as a reliable resource that addresses social isolation and social drivers of health for older adults in the community, a historically marginalized population. We provide weekly well-check calls, free health fairs, urgent food delivery, and resource connection to local resources related to food insecurity, transportation, and housing. The weekly well-check calls are the foundation of the program: volunteers are paired with senior partners with the goal of establishing authentic and trusting relationships. CARE Connections allows students to connect with the greater community, build skills in discussing structural issues surrounding health, and practice a form of care for older adults.

Members of the GAMI chapter have the opportunity to participate in cutting-edge innovation projects related to healthcare. Duke Presidential Ambassadors, previously known as Dukes and Duchesses, was established in 1979 as an organization of student ambassadors dedicated to serving Duke University. The members of the Duke Presidential Ambassadors provide a glimpse into the student experience for campus visitors. Responsibilities include leading campus tours, staffing special events, and assisting with university ceremonies. Some examples of special events include staffing the president's suite at football games, receptions at the university president's home, Board of Trustee dinners, and Opening and Founders' Day Convocations.

The mission of DRSPr is to establish and facilitate a structured program that introduces underclassmen to the research opportunities that exist at Duke, which is widely recognized as a pre-eminent international research institution, and to fuel the passion of members throughout their undergraduate career. DRSPr seeks to integrate the most critical components of a positive and meaningful research experience with a process that allows motivated students to connect with dedicated research mentors. DRSPr seeks to accomplish this mission by facilitating semester-long programs for underclassmen, in which they are matched with research mentors and participate in a series of professional development seminars, culminating in a final presentation of their own research.
