Brighter Smile at Duke University is dedicated to improving access to

oral health education and resources for underserved communities.

OUR IMPACT

Our Mission

We collaborate with local organizations and volunteers to identify areas of need and establish distribution channels to ensure that our dental hygiene products reach those who need them the most. In some cases, we partner with existing dental clinics or health centers in Durham, North Carolina to provide products directly to patients, while in others, we work with community centers to establish dental hygiene education programs and provide products to participants.

Expand Access

We provide essential oral hygiene supplies to families and communities with limited access to preventive dental care.

Educate & Empower

We promote oral health education and help individuals build simple, sustainable habits that support lifelong dental health.

Strengthen Communities

Through local partnerships and student-led service, we connect resources with communities where they can make the greatest impact.
