About Us

Duke Cyber is sponsored by SOFC, the Duke Program in American Grand Strategy (AGS), Duke Tech Policy, Pratt Engineering Alumni Council, and the Duke Office of Information Technology (OIT). Our mission is to provide informal interdisciplinary educational development to Duke students on technology topics; to cultivate a network of undergraduate and graduate students through speaker events, competitions, and social events; and to foster a greater understanding of the purpose, roles, and implications of 21st century technology. We are the proud home of Duke's competitive Cyber Policy and Cybersecurity Teams.

Two Tracks:
Policy and Tech

Policy Track	Tech Track
Policy Track introduces cyber and tech policy through open discussions, guest speakers, and hands-on competition prep. Teams are sent to multiple national cyber policy and strategy competitions every year, including Atlantic Council’s Cyber 9/12.	Tech Track focuses on building foundational cybersecurity, technical analysis, and problem-solving skills while competing in international CTF (Capture the Flag) competitions, including DEF CON.
The Cyber Policy Team is nationally recognized (3x National Champions) in the Atlantic Council's Cyber 9/12 Strategy Challenge. Duke Cyber has the honor of sending teams to multiple national cyber policy competitions every year.	Just last year (2026), Tech Track won first place and at the Duke Cybersecurity Conference CTF and the NC National Guard CTF.
