About Us
The RACCOONS group is comprised of student volunteers overseen by faculty to reduce food waste on campus. The club members, also known as resource ambassadors, will coordinate food removal and disposal from campus operations and events, ensuring good quality excess food is repurposed rather than discarded. Our efforts are closely aligned with Duke's broader climate initiatives to reduce waste and support sustainability. RACCOONS will create a sustainable, efficient system that provides nutritious solutions to food insecurity, whilst simultaneously reducing the food waste problem on campus.
