About Us

The purpose of this organization is to support the I'm Not Done Yet Foundation in raising money for AYA cancer research. To do so, the organization will hold an annual shave in the Spring of each semester where the proceeds will go directly towards AYA cancer research and programs which the I'm Not Done Yet Foundation supports (nearly all programs are run in conjunction with the Duke Hospital). The fundraiser will consist of members volunteering to get their heads shaved to promote cancer awareness, as well as soliciting donations in the weeks leading up to the shave. We also plan to hold an auction coinciding with the event as another avenue to generate donations. Throughout our existence since 2016, Shave and Buzz has raised over 1.5 million for the Duke Cancer Institute. The organization also runs a blood drive and mental health event in the fall.
