The mission of Duke SJP is to advocate for an end to the occupation of Palestine by the nation of Israel. Duke SJP seeks to accomplish this mission by educating the Duke and Durham communities about what occupation is and by promoting activism in favor of an end to the occupation.

Duke JStreet U is committed to creating inclusive conversations on Duke's campus surrounding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. We support the Jewish & Palestinian peoples' right to self-determination and the Palestinian people's right to live free from the systemic injustice of occupation. We believe that patriotism for Israel comes best in the form of healthy criticism when criticism is due, especially when human rights are in question. Our goal as an organization on this campus is to enrich the conversation about Israel and Palestine so that students from different backgrounds feel that their opinion is valued and heard.
