Why join DSPr?

The mission of DRSPr is to establish and facilitate a structured program that introduces undergraduates, with a strong focus on those with all levels of experience, to the research opportunities at Duke, which is widely recognized as a pre-eminent international research institution. We continue to fuel their passion throughout their undergraduate career at the university. DRSPr seeks to integrate the most critical components of a positive and meaningful research experience, and combines that with a process that allows motivated students to connect with dedicated research mentors. DRSPr seeks to accomplish this mission by facilitating semester-long programs for underclassmen, in which they are matched with research mentors and participate in a series of professional development seminars, culminating in a final presentation of their own research at the Duke Research Scholars Symposium. Furthermore, DRSPr has demonstrated a long-lasting network of support for alumni of these programs.
